A patch of sunshine amidst the rain...

It was nice and cloudy early this morning. I didn't have any classes, meetings, workshops... And today being Saturday, Jo too would leave early. I was glad that I would be able to tuck in a nice long morning monsoon walk.

I quickly finished all my morning chores at home, a quick glance at FB, fed Sirius, picked up my camera, slipped on my walking footwear and set off, hoping to capture some monsoon drama...

Hardly had I walked two crosses away that the dark gray clouds set off on a 100 mtr dash and simply vanished within seconds... And what unfolded next was a drama of a completely different kind...!

A patch of brilliant sunshine amidst the rains...

Aakash Natak Company arpisuva... Dharwadada Kari Modagalu...

Framing shadows while the sun played peek-a-boo...

The bus screeched to a halt at the Pavate Nagar stop and the people waiting at the door got down. I was busy thinking of the "Monsoon Conversation" session I was to have at school with the U. KG kids... The conductor shouted out his Rigghhtta...! and that's when I suddenly shot out of my seat and out of the door, much to the chagrin of the other passengers and the irritation of the conductor, who even shouted after me- "Idu Hindi Prachar Sabha stop allri...!!"

Without turning back to answer, with a sheepish grin on my face and a mischevious glint in my eyes, I raced to meet my erudite muse... Well, it was such a lovely morning and how could I not begin my day without a short visit to the University Campus ! I knew I could sneak in a few minutes and still be there in time for my session...

I managed to make the most of the whole twenty minutes that I'd sneaked in and just when it was time to say, "See ya..." and I stepped into the cool shade of the porch at the main entrance, I spied these interesting shadows. One moment there and the other gone, as the sun played peek-a-boo with the welded metal grill and the the parked bikes...The crisp shadows flitting on the floor and on the bright red post box were so interesting that I allowed myself an allowance of another five minutes.

Well, being the Coordinator of the school does have its advantages... :)

The last of the tamarind flowers...

The last of the refreshingly pretty yellow/peach tamarind flowers...

At the Ulvi Basappan Gudi, every nook and cranny is a beautiful sight with these yellow n' now orange hued tamarind flowers...

The last of the tamarind flowers and the first of the young tender nagarkattas... Spy them...?

Just hope we see more nagarkattas on the tree rather than on the ground. And all of them turn into plump mouth-watering tamarinds ! Oooh... My mouth's already watering and I can feel my teeth going on edge...!

Wistful...
